Oscar winners Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman are set to team up as a married couple in a new adventure film called Trespass. According to Variety, the story written by Karl Gajdusek and Eli Richbourg, centers on Cage and Kidman taken hostage by four brutal perpetrators seeking easy cash. But the situation gets complicated once unexpected betrayal and deception surface in the storyline of the action-adventure. Joel Schumacher will direct for Nu Image/Millennium Films, which has teamed with Cage previously on “Drive Angry,” “The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” and “The Wicker Man.” The hostage drama is expected to go into production in August. Cage will be seen next month in Disney’s “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” Kidman is in Sony’s romantic comedy “Just Go With It,” due out in February. Kidman has also just signed on to play alongside Clive Owen in HBO’s Hemingway & Gellhorn according to Deadline. The original movie produced by James Gandolfini, is about the romance between Ernest Hemingway (Owen) and fellow novelist Martha Gellhorn (Kidman). Meanwhile Cage will be returning to do a sequel to Ghost Rider. Producer Mike De Luca confirmed the news to Collider.com, but revealed the 2007 film’s other star, Eva Mendes, will not reprise her role in the new movie, currently titled Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The movie will be set in Europe and De Luca reveals he is in talks to have the picture made in 3D.
